I ordered a broth, second steak, postre, coffee. british people must understand that this is spain and you should be able to try things that at a glance might not appeal, you may be surprised!!! the meal was delicious I paid 9€ and left.
We were driving home with our daughter and four kids in the car when Elaine said lets have lunch somewhere. we called into the rather full car park of the palpacoteo. I thought we will never get a seat as I noticed the number of diners, but good old juan the owners son got all of us a seat from somewhere. conchi the ever smiling and very efficient waitress took our very varied meal order.. while we were waiting the very sociable owner came over for a chat,it all added to the atmosphere. over the next hour we ate our meal which was very good, value and price I am pleased to say as I got saddled with the bill. I know this is probably our local in Spanish countryside terms but I would definitely recommend it.
We were on our way home after visiting the local market and decided to stop here for a spot of lunch. We walked into a busy front dining area and saw two friends so we went to sit with them. A full and varied menu was available, some tables were eating very spanish meals others very british, For a change i wasnt very hungry, so we had a salad followed by ham off the bone with house red wine, bread followed by arroz con leche and coffee con leche We shared the wine with our friends had a pleasant chat and called it a day, quite a pleasant sunday lunchtime. Cost was about 25 euros for the two of us.
We were returning from shopping and thought as it was lunchtime that we should call in our local restaurant for a meal. As usual we received a friendly welcome from staff and ordered from the Menu del dia. We both had salad, chicken soup, followed by pork and chips washed down with house red, followed by arroz con leche and a cup of coffee con leche, all for 9 euros each, how do they do it? Thoroughly recommended
