Rok - Esterel

The food was excessively overpriced and quite dull. I ordered the duck, but they didn’t even leave the skin on for that crispy texture! What was the chef thinking? Additionally, there was no seasoning; the so-called pepper sauce tasted more like a mix of consommé and Worcestershire sauce. The waitress was also unprofessional. My friend had the Manhattan steak and was just as disappointed as I was; it was an uninspired dish without any seasonal flair. It’s worth noting that the prices are incredibly inflated. Overall, I was not impressed.

We dined at this restaurant located in the L'Esterel Hotel during our visit last February. The food was good, and we decided to share one steak and one shrimp dish. They were tasty, and it was fun to cook them on the hot stone, which is why it's called RoK. However, it wasn't the best meal I've ever had. The view was fantastic, especially for lunch and on summer evenings. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and the server was very friendly. It’s definitely worth a visit!

I have to say, this place definitely makes it into my Top 10 for steakhouses. The filet mignon was absolutely perfect, as were the shrimp. The service was great, with three staff members attending to us. I find it amusing how some people complain about cooking their own steak in other reviews—this is the whole concept, and it’s a brilliant culinary experience. Anyway, I’ll definitely be returning!

They charged us 15$ for two bottle of sparkling water without ever mentioning that it would be charged. The food itself was extremely bland (lamb and seafood , with bland sides, and they charge you extra (50$ for everything thats worth a damn on the menu if you're dining with the package. Only the presentation is good. Ended up paying over 200$ for a poor experience.
