Poppy's Pizza And Grill - Estes Park

We went here with our extended non-vegan family. the vegan options are slim picking in estes park and there is something all restaurants can work on, so I give a star only for some options on the menu. we have the vegan burger and the rustic pizza with garlic olive oil base and no cheese. all pizza sauces included cheese. they got daiya, but we're not the biggest fan. that is enough, but we will probably not come back unless we are socially inclined to do so with other non-vegan friends/family. if they are vegetarian, they have to pick up a lot. the service was okay, even a little slow. updated by previous review on 2021-10-25

In all transparence I decided not to eat here. they have no vegan sauce for the pizza available as the marinara parmesan contains. the only possibility is to add olive oil instead. they also no longer have vegan pfefferoni, as the description says. the prices are exceptionally high; a regular 12 inch pizza with some vegetables, no sauce and vegan cheese costs $30. other pizza places in touristic mountain towns (i.e. piante pizzeria in breckenridge) cost $10 less and have better jumping opportunities. if they really feel the desire for pizza in estes park, they have at least vegan cheese. but I would recommend somewhere else with more vegan options and better trips.

Ordering a own pizza build will all vegan ingredients. the vegan pizza delivered to the table and after eating a piece, told me that they made it with real cheese. as someone who is vegan with a milk allergy, I am very annoyed with this experience. updated by previous review on 2021-08-12

I reviewed the menu and inquired with the server about vegan options, but it seemed limited. The crust is vegan, as is the garlic olive oil, and they offer Daiya cheese. However, I did not see any vegan pepperoni or many burger choices. Pizza toppings are customizable. We had a lovely window seat with a view of the river, although the terrace seating looked even more appealing. I'm undecided about returning, but I was pleased with my experience overall. I really love this restaurant! It's so charming being right on the river, and they have a great selection of vegan options, including Daiya cheese and vegan pepperoni.
