Golden Cook Caribbean - Etobicoke

I have a friend who swears by this place for their Oxtail. I was reluctant as I have always enjoyed Curried goat and wondered where do they find OX in Canada. The one time I tried Oxtail at a different cafe I was not interested in the added sweetness to the gravy. So I decided to give this restaurant a try and was pleasantly surprised. Expanding my eating choices has always been of interest to me. In Toronto we have the ability to eat authentic foods from all over the world. Golden Cook is such a place giving you a taste of Jamaican home cooking. Loved My )Oxtail and the sample of their Curried Goat as well. Thanks for a great meal. I have tried many Caribbean restaurants and this place never disappoints The rice and peas is perfect! Never overcooked and always so flavourful.

I tried the Ox-Tail and Jerk Chicken at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit hesitant to order from here since I am new to Mimico, but I was not disappointed! Both dishes were delicious and I will definitely be ordering from here again. If you're craving island food, this is the place to go. The only thing missing is the ocean, sandy beach, and some rum. Kudos to the chef!
