L'Huitriere - Étretat

Probably the restaurant with the best seating and views of the beach and on the cliffs in this small beautiful village. a real fish restaurant, including various seafood dishes. beautiful selection of weeping . the quality of eating was good, but not great. and slightly overpriced. the service was competent and friendly.

I really don’t like these restaurants that play “we are something special and high class” but than don’t bring the service nor the menu. It’s called huitiere but the oysters are so so, you cannot even get French fries in the side. Because “we are...special, we don’t make fries” wtf. There is not even a menu anymore. You get a QR code and you read the menu on the phone. Come on don’t give us this “we are so progressive BS”.

Food ok, Ambiente cold, staff unfriendly and prices much too high.. In short.. Tourist Ripp off.. Nothing to add

We just stumbled here just trying to find food for lunch. This is not the best place for lunch. It's more suited to a formal long multi course dinner situation. It is very pricey compared to similar restaurants we've been to in France. However, the...food was amazing. I had the tuna starter, salmon, and lemon tart. I ate way too much. The staff spoke almost no English but were nice. They were only of average attentiveness to your needs. The views of the channel are impressive from the second floor but be warned it gets pretty hot up there when it's packed. Not sure why but both of my American credit cards got rejected here. It's the only place in France neither of them have worked so just make sure you have enough cash to cover what will be a hefty bill.

We recommended this establishment to our friends who we made discover the region, always the same pleasant welcome, a chic restaurant to the taste of the day and of course a situation more than ideal view of the sea, but what disappointment and rather discomfort vis à vis de nos amis .... a report quality price more than disappointing "a plate of the fisherman with fresh crustaceans but no taste of the aromas of cooking and mayonnaise very fade, in general "no flavor"
