Love the quality of the meats and the friendly knowledgeable butchers. If ya have questions just ask em. They don't make ya feel like a noob and take care of ya fully. They will cut bones for you dog to whatever size ya want and they will pull the membrane off a rack of ribs which is a huge blessing. Highly recommend.

This place is a legend amongst the eugene community and their meat selection is absolutely incredible and I'm sure they make their name on quality. The Pastrami sandwich leaves much to be desired . Although quality meat, the preparation and execution was sub par , very gristly and tough bites the meat should be cut up or more tender. the bread lacks substantially as well served on cibatta bread , Rye bread is standard with Russian dressing slaw and pickle. Was good but seriously lacking and guess mainly because of how Pastrami was cooked, not tender. Honest feedback for a place that could do so much better

Highest quality meat available, priced appropriately for what you get.I've been fortunate to have Lindsey help me every time I've been here and she is amazing. I have liked and enjoyed Long's long time. I am sure if they had Oregon Rattlesnake it would be mighty filling. But, I had the Barbecue. Again, Oregon. Why is your Bar-B-Cue wet? I have other complaints about it but I will stop here. There is sad I am. And dump the Boar's Head, too SALTY. I will be back. You have a good store. Just gotta learn yourself how to Barbeque.

We haven't been to Long's for several years after being accused of trying to cheat them. We still get upset over what happened. One year, we ordered a ham for Christmas. When we picked it up, it was busy and didn't notice they charged us what we can only guess was either someone else's subtotal, prime rib price, or they just added an extra digit to the total. When my husband went back in, the man working said he was too busy and asked if we could come back in soon. We went back again and after my husband explained what happened, the man working that day was very rude and accused us of trying to cheat them. We didn't have an itemized receipt (we were never offered one) but we did have the credit card receipt. We could have understood their position if they had just been nice or civil about their concerns, but they chose to go on the offense and wouldn't even consider they made a mistake. Our family and extended family have never been back. I feel like this could have been worked out in a number of ways and we were disappointed that they weren't willing to even listen.
