I would like to thank Rose and the amazing chefs at Mame for one of the best sushi meals I have had in a long time, and definitely the best sushi experience in Eugene. We will definitely be making this a regular stop!!!! This place was one of the largest surprises that I have encountered at a restaurant. There were 9 of us, 3 from Oregon and 6 co-workers from Miami. We walked in and discovered our party of 9 was 60 percent of the guest count. We sat down and the amazing experience began. Our server Rose was amazingly welcoming and shared all the details and options of the menu. Most of us were drinking wine and sake, and the recommendations were spot on. Most of us chose to have a steam bun taco as an appetizer. They didn't disappoint. I think one of every flavor was consumed at the table, and everyone raved about the texture of the steam bun and the flavor of the steak curry, Dan-o-Mite seafood mixture, chicken curry, etc. We all decided to do the chef's choice at $30 each. It was a glorious feast. We had three rounds of sushi brought to the table, and each bite seemed to be better than the next. Throughout the meal, Rose continued to be attentive and met all of our needs. This is hands down my favorite sushi place. I look forward to many more dinners at this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been eating sushi since I was like 8 and have been to many of the states in America and a hand full of country's on this planet. I have never been afraid to try foods of different cultures, as a matter of fact I find myself a connoisseur of sorts, especially if it's of an exotic or strange variety. I would have to say Mame ranks in my top 5 locations for fresh picked Fish ,with a great assortment of flavors , what I mean is Taro definitely hand picks the fish him self. He definitely has a great eye for it, you can tell that he dose not just take what ever is cheep or farm raised, you can also tell by the consistency of the color and zest in the fish that he takes pride in his place. I love that the place is small and chill it makes for an intimate engagement a great place for a date you definitely need to make a Rez well in advance especially if u have a large group, one this they do is stay open late for u. I recently went for my sons 25th bday being it was a party of 12 it was hard to accommodate us during normal biz hours so they gave us n slot for after close it was great we pretty much had the place to our selves from 11 to 1:30am I would recommend Mame to Any one who wants a different experience then what u would get at any of the tons of sushi place in Oregon it is definitely unique.
