Today, I had a good experience at Kobachi. The way they fried the karaage was authentic and well-executed. Personally, I am not a fan of the sweet teriyaki sauce commonly served in American restaurants, as it is too sweet for my taste. However, the teriyaki sauce at Kobachi was not as sweet as others I have tried, and I was able to enjoy it. I typically prefer my karaage with just salt, but this was not a major issue. For anyone seeking genuine Japanese teishoku, this restaurant would be a great choice. As a native of Tokyo, I am pleased to have a place like this in the area.
I was thrilled to discover a taishoku restaurant had opened in Eugene. The food was incredibly tasty! The Saba-misoni was cooked perfectly and the side dishes tasted just like my grandma makes them. I can't wait to dine here again!
I went for lunch and the it's a cool spot for sure. But the quality wasn't up to the price... I'll try dinner next time
Maneki neko is a new Japanese restaurant, right opposite the 5th street market. they serve a set menu for lunch every day, with a few options to choose from. I selected the saba Miso-ni (miso braised mackerel) with three small supplements. a traditional Japanese meal includes many small dishes instead of a large plate of eating, and maneki neko makes this very good. they will not get much, but they will get sorts, and it is prepared and presented only wonderfully.
