Moe's Southwest Grill - Evans

I hadn't eaten here in a while, so I decided to try it again for "Moe Monday." The burrito was excellent, but I think it's absurd that they charge you $1.49 for queso on your burrito or one of the tacos. It should definitely be included in the price of the burrito. I'm not convinced that the queso is worth that extra charge. On the bright side, the customer service was fantastic, and everyone was really friendly. I do have one suggestion: avoid placing the burrito in the chip bag because it ends up damaging the burrito. Plus, to be honest, it's not very hygienic.

I recommend trying the "stack," which is similar to a Taco Bell Crunchwrap but made with fresher ingredients and customizable toppings. My favorite protein choice is the firm pig, which has a great flavor. However, my biggest pet peeve with places like this is that they tend to skimp on the protein. I understand they want to manage costs, but I don’t want to pay the same price for a "steak crunchwrap" and only get lettuce, sour cream, and cheese without having to pay extra for more meat. On the bright side, I always appreciate the complimentary chips and salsa!

The burritos were delicious and the Queen was fantastic! However, the chips were a bit too salty, and for some reason, they have boxes and takeout containers in the dining area.

2021-11: I 've dined in a couple years ago, but my most recent experience was a delivery order via Uber Eats. I understand that using a third party delivery service brings additional costs, but I was a bit disappointed by the relatively small portion sizes for the price I payed. I ordered two create your own bowls. Even with rice, beans, protein (one chicken, one steak , included toppings, and a couple add on toppings, the portions were lacking. Especially since they are prepared in containers that are large enough to make the portions appear that much smaller. I would have hoped for more quantity of each ingredient, most notably, the protein. I received quite a decent portion of chips, with two small (2 oz. containers of salsa for each bowl. However, I have no complaints with the quality of the food. The order was correct and was put together with care. The food tasted good, I would just like to see better portions for the prices charged.

Tasty burrito bowl being vegan is tough on restaurants and few choices, but Moe’s came through tonight and I’d go back again.
