Bonsai Cafe - Evanston

We were driving through the neighborhood and wanted to pick up some sushi to go. We picked bonsai mostly due to proximity. We showed up 30 minutes before they were closing on a Tuesday. The place was empty and they were getting ready to close. We ordered 5 rolls to go. They were delicious! We appreciate the fast service and the food was high quality. Would return!

We always go for sushi and this is the best sushi ever! also the teriyaki chicken bowl OMG too good

It was disappointing as frequent patrons to be offered a $5 coupon that would not be validated.

Very friendly people. My wife really liked their sushi. I'm not sure it's fair to call it a Japanese restaurant, though. Other than sushi, their food is mostly Chinese.

They offered fast, attentive service and the sushi was some of the best, most tender sashimi I've had in a long time.
