Prairie Moon - Evanston

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. I was on my way to enjoy Sunday brunch at Tommy Nevin’s, a place we hadn't visited in almost ten years, only to discover it had closed. While walking back to my car, I spotted this place and decided to give it a try, despite its unremarkable exterior. I’m glad I did! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it a very family-friendly atmosphere. The food we ordered was fantastic! I had the crab cakes, which were the best I’ve had outside of San Francisco, and my wife enjoyed the fresh smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and a bagel. We will definitely return and bring friends with us next time!

I had one of the best party experiences in a long time. The food was outstanding, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Place is great! Put on the game for us with sound when four other places refused! Love this place! Great food and great people!

If your an oyster lover it's a must try for specials. Shrimp and grits were unique and amazing! Must love bacon!
