The spinach salad was good, like the grilled Romaine salad. The Caesar was just fine. I had the swordfish for my head and it was just okay, though my friends had the healbutt special and they really enjoyed it. The ambience here was cozy and warm. I'll try again someday and try another duck.
It had been a while since our last visit to Abbot, but our experience was exceptional! We were thrilled to be back. The menu had some new additions, but the warm atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious dishes remained the same. It was a lovely evening!
A beautiful place close to home. We love the ambience and food!
A reservation for 2 6:30 on Saturday. We arrived at 6:00 and they gave us a table without any problems. Wonderful prompt service. We were given water immediately and the waitress took our drinks orders. Five minutes later we had our cocktails and a hot little bread. Our appetizer came 10 minutes later. We ordered to share a halibut and the fee is $4 to share a dinner. The charge is worth it because we all got what I thought were medium size shares. Only enough to fill us and not be too full. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was calm, so it was easy to talk.
Abbott 's was a wonderful experience for not only the culinary experience, but for the ambience and service. My partner and I dined there for Valentines day, and even then, the atmosphere was uncrowded, unhurried and a very pleasant conversation level. From the Coquilles Saint Jacques scallop appetizer to the Prawns Amore and Black Cod Oscar entrees, every bite was rich in ingredients and flavors, well plated and presented. The staff were all friendly, professional and polite and worked together to turn things over. Our waiter, Christopher, was very professional yet cordial and was never in a rush because of a busy crowd. The restaurant had a very low keyed atmosphere and did not try to pack the place for turnover and is great for a nice quiet intimate dinner. At first we were a little apprehensive of going to this restaurant, being our first visit, but as it turns out, we had one of our best dining experiences at Abbott 's. A gem in Everett, a long arduous drive into Seattle is no longer necessary for fine dining. It is a 'smart casual dress code. The only negative reviews I read were of the prices, so if that is a concern, a different restaurant may be more in line. For us, however, the caliber of food, atmosphere and service made this a very worth while treat. One that will be repeated to try the Bacchus Stuffed Chicken.
