Always a great experience! I can never remember his name, but the bartender there is great! Always remembers what we order, is attentive, friendly, all the things. I go at least once a month with a friend and I will keep going back.
The service was impeccable. I think her name was Lorena, and she was friendly, fast, and accurate. It was very busy for father's day dinner too, and she didn't miss a beat. My daughter loved the burger. My son loved the curly dog (although neither of them finished it). But overall the quality was lacking a bit. THE STRAWBERRY LEMONADE WAS SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!! The steak I ordered medium came a tad overdone. Not enough to send back though, and the tenderness of the meat was nice. But the meat tasted more like salt and butter than I could handle. Everything we had was heavy and greasy and over-seasoned, making it tough to finish before even feeling full. Typical American fare I suppose, but the prices are a touch too high for typical. My wife had grilled ham and cheese. Those cheap American cheese slices leave a funky film in your mouth and in my opinion have no business being served in any restaurant beyond fast food chains. She couldn't eat anymore than half and had no interest in bringing it home. The bread was soggy and the the plasticy cheese product was filmy and weird. ...not going to reheat well. We may be back... it beats Red Robin by a long shot (gotta be just fake reviews on here). Next time I'll try the Guacamole bacon burger... that looked awesome. I'll add jalepenos and mushrooms I think.
They have the best burgers, I think it has alot to do with the buns they use. Service could be better, we sat in the bar which was empty but I still had to go up to the bar to get a refill. Atmosphere was fine just nothing special.
Today is father's day and would it would have been his 76th birthday as well. He passed away in 2007 so my wife and I went out to the cemetery next to the restaurant to pay our respects. We then stopped by Bob's for lunch. My father loved to drink sidecar's which is old drink that isn't ordered much anymore. Usually when I ask for one I'm told that the bartender doesn't know how to make it but I thought I'd ask anyway. Our waitress went above and beyond and brought me out a sidecar cocktail just like my dad used to order. My thanks to the bartender and the waitress. Great service and a simple but nice way to honor my dad's memory today.
