City Seafood - EVERGLADES CITY

This is a neat and funky place, a combination fish market and seafood restaurant. You eat outside on their covered dock, on picnic tables right by the water. You get to watch boats come and go as you chow down on crab, shrimp, scallops, grouper, etc. Most meals are under $10 and well worth it. Try the shrimp basket — they give you a lot! You order and pick up your food at the window, so tipping is strictly optional.

You know your food is fresh when you see a crab boat pull up beside the docks to unload its catch. This is a great place to talk to true Everglades City characters. We drive two full hours just to have dinner here. The best fish sandwiches and stone crab claws anywhere!

City Seafood is more than just a single restaurant. First, it’s a place you can get great fresh stone crabs. Second, you can grab lunch at the downstairs grill. Best of all, you can have dinner in the restaurant upstairs…great food prepared and served by great people.

Gator and Shrimp Basket were big and good. The hamburger was way too big and tasted okay. Nice view and you can see dolphins as they stay there.

Food was excellent, their dipping sauces are all homemade, very tasty! Staff was welcoming, friendly, and fast! Loved the old Florida outside seafood restaurant vibe. It was all covered with fans keeping you cool with a beautiful dockside view!
