Le Cygne - Évian-les-Bains

The outside is fabulous. Develop with fabulous window boxes running over with Geranien. Inside it is so French (hahahaha). Many red velvet and very opulent furniture. The terrace is beautifully covered with a pergola with vines. The staff were very friendly, and recommend the special... that were fantastic, perfectly cooked and presented. A great experience

On a Saturday evening at 7.30 p.m. in the restaurant without reservation, but we were greeted by the cook (and his wife) who run a very effective team together. From here on everything went very smoothly and we had a superb good meal. "Excellent" because the first impressions gave some cause for concern. We were the only people in the restaurant... the decor and the lighting appeared somewhat strong and bright... the color scheme was, well, tangenins... and there was no music playing and correspondingly little recognizable atmosphere. In the next hour, however, the tables were filled and apparently with local customers. We chose both from the 'Formula' menu, which offered different prices depending on how many courses you choose. Foods all presented on a "daily special" basis were excellent...cooked and well presented. The cheese car was excellent and the cook came to the table to explain the selection of cheese. Wine list was appropriate in choice and price. Total cost (for 2 Euro 57. Three star ratings would have been 4 stars if the atmosphere had been a bit more alive (but again, then it was a visit in October.

Bon mais cuisine gastronomique traditionnelle et restaurant vieillissant. La carte des vins est très bien. A ne pas louper le plateau de Fromage qui envoie du lourd.

Voilà un très bon restaurant qui mérite le détour. Cuisine inventive et goûteuse le chef aime visiblement son métier. L'accueil par la patronne est toujours un peu réservé mais une fois à table on oublie vite.De bons produits frais et vins forts agréables. Une bonne adresse.

Très joli cadre avec une cuisine délicieuse ! Portions très généreuses. Je ne vous parle même pas du chariot de fromage sur deux étages... Très bon accueil patrons et personnel très sympathiques !A tester vivement !
