A chill atmosphere for a pancake house.Vegetarian options: I always get the veggie meatless sausage in place of regular sausage and it’s delicious!
Everything that could go wrong- did. We are local and used to frequent, but are unlikely return due to high prices and low quality of food and service. Pancakes were visibly burnt and the- very young waitress who was on her own at breakfast service- never checked back and did not notice I hadn’t touched my food. My husbands “Greek” omelette had what must’ve been an pound of spinach and 40 sun dried tomatoes with 2 eggs. Food is odd and unbalanced. My chili omelette had the worst presentation and so so much filling. The manager removed my meal, but never came to chat about it despite only having 4 tables in the place. Why should the customer have to tell you about visibly dark brown burnt pancakes 25 mins later? The service is slow and inexperienced, our waitress was awkward and messed up others food in the meantime. I write this so that someone can step in and make changes here.
I visited PJs for the first time, and while the food and service were decent, I found the prices to be quite steep. I was surprised at how expensive the menu items were—nearly $20 for an omelet and pancakes in the low $20 range? I'm not sure if I’ll be coming back. As for vegetarian options, it appears they had a few selections available.
Maybe the mistake was going here for dinner. The service was great. The waitresses were charming. The food was terrible. I had Angus beef sliders which I ordered medium and they were cooked to almost a char. Try and tasteless. The french fries were good. The coleslaw was not even fresh nor dressed. It seemed like they just dumped it out of the bag into a little plate and served it. It was awful. I won't go here again.
My wife ordered pancakes that were dry and cold. I ordered an omelet that looked like it contained only one egg, with enough onions and peppers to fill another omelet. My son had chicken and waffles, but the chicken tasted burnt. My daughter asked for eggs with cheddar cheese, but what she received was more cheddar cheese with a side of egg. The waitress checked on us only once, and she brought a lukewarm glass of water that tasted like it was from a bathroom sink. Overall, this place is completely overpriced considering the low quality of the food.
