When reading this review, it is warned that the customer service is appreciable by the managerin. their attempt to shame members of a 16-person booking is completely unacceptable. I can only imagine what the employees have to do every day. even worse, what they are trained as customer service, I will never visit this site again or recommend this facility to everyone.

A wonderful surprise. We went on a quiet evening and had a great meal at a very reasonable cost. After 15 years driving past the door on the recommendation of a friend we dropped in. We will be back.

We chose here for a family Mothers Day celebration as we had a young child who would have entertainment. 6 of us with a 3 year old boy. The table was booked for 12 midday. We didn’t get any food until well after 1.30…. And...many requests…The 3 year old also had to wait all that time for his child’s lunch. We asked for Prosecco and told they weren’t serving it…. On Mothers Day! After we finally had our meal the dessert took another 45 minutes to arrive. The whole thing was a shambles. I must say the members of the waiting staff looking after us were great, hard working and cheerful but obviously not supported by management or by the kitchen. Lots of apologies but no recompense offered in any way. Our elderly grandad became quite upset too. Sorry to say that we shall not be repeating this awful experience. It was only because we are an optimistic and happy family that we got through it. And lucky that the little boy didn’t have a fit at having to wait so long for his food.

Perfect working lunch, the restaurant was quiet and the service prompt. We all opted for the carvery which was perfect alongside a large assortment of vegetables, roast potatoes, parsnips etc. No complaints at all!

Table booked for four people at 6.45. 3 of us chose the carvery. No beef as ran out! Only gammon and turkey which was ok but not hot at all. The vegetables were dry obviously been sitting there for hours and COLD! Was advised the...carvery closes at 8 pm. Surely they should have been topping up as there was still an Hour to go! Did mention to the waiter that it was cold but made no effort to enquire further and dismissed our comments. The other member of the party had the gammon with an egg which was totally unappetising on the plate and all overcooked ! First time here for me and certainly will not be recommending or returning in the near future. Oh yes it was not exactly busy loads of spare tables! The chef did comment that he was called in at last moment!
