The staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The menu was full of things I wanted to try and I settled for the chilli which was not too spicy with a dark chocolatey feel to the dish. My wife had the steak and ale pie which she describes as “ excellent and meaty “. Our son, who we were visiting at Uni had a beautiful plate of fish and chips which he devoured in true student fashion! Our three dogs may have had a few cheesy chips. All in all a great lunch and due to it being dog friendly we will be sure to visit again. Thanks.
Superb pub food one of the best pub meals I have ever had. Great selection of local beers. Friendly service and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Came into pub just for a quick drink before our meal . Was asked what would you like to drink ordered two drinks to be confronted by a male asking inside or outside table . Told the male person that’s it’s a quick stop off and would not need one . His reply was that we do mind you standing at the bar . The gentleman was very abrupt and very rude , it’s was not needed and could have explained a table was needed to drink there . So rude and very unpleasant
Absolutely fabulous place to eat and drink. Staff were great and very helpful. Fantastic food all freshly cooked and delicious. Highly recommended
Yet again blown away by the quality of food cooked by the very much underated chef Suzanne. No matter what one orders the dish never fails to delight in taste presentation and incredible value for money. Love it there
