The Railyard Tavern - Fair Lawn

I ordered food through Uber Eats, and the jalapeño poppers and fries were just what I needed. The regular cheese pizza and four-cheese pizza were decent, while the wings were quite good. I'm definitely interested in trying other items from the menu, and I have a feeling that dining in would make the experience even better!

My manager and I chose this restaurant for lunch. Upon entering, I inquired if we could place a takeout order and dine outside, and was told that we could. A bartender/server attended to us, taking our orders. I opted for the Beyond Burger with fries, which cost around $15. After a brief wait, our food arrived, and we were on our way. The burger was tasty, and the toppings were fresh. However, the fries were just average and a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, we had a satisfactory experience.

The bar food is average, but there's a great discount during happy hour. Unfortunately, when I visited for early happy hour, the service staff was sitting at the bar and didn’t notice me waving for attention. I had to get up to request another beer and more sauce for the wings, among other things. I understand that it's challenging to find good help, but some training might be beneficial, especially since I was the only table there. I visited during a quieter time, so perhaps service would improve during peak hours. The roast beef sandwich was decent—with plenty of meat—but it came on plain thin white bread by default, which was disappointing. I was expecting at least a roll, and I didn't realize I needed to ask for options.

Very loud (sports bar type atmosphere). Food was good. I had the chicken Parm which was a bit soggy (the pasta needed to be better drained). Service was good. Prices were moderate.

I?ve been living in Jacksonville FL for 6 months now and I?m going back to NJ tomorrow. MY FIRST STOP WILL BE AN ORDER OF PESTO SHRIMP PIZZA!!! God I miss this place and their amazing pies!!!
