Subway - Fairbanks

I love their cheese steak with pepper jack, all the veggies and chipotle sauce. It's a habit! Consistent. Tasty. Fresh. Hard to beat that. The staff handled a difficult customer so expertly that hardly anyone even noticed: kudos! Nice work!

I used the online ordering in hopes to save a little time. However when I went to pick up the sandwiches, it wasn't clear whether I was supposed to stay in line with all the other sandwich orders, or just go to the cashier. Staff wasn't necessarily unhelpful, but think it should be incorporated by asking if anyone is there to pick up an online and paid-for order. When I did wait for all the other sandwiches in line, my sandwiches were ready but the chips I picked out and drinks were not. Maybe it was over expectation that those things would be picked out and ready to go. So in summary, I like the idea but I thought it would save time and it did not.

While I normally love eating a subway, I did not have a great experience this time. The employees were friendly but with only one person in line ahead of me it still took 10 mins before I was helped because three of the four employees on staff were messing around in the back. While making the sandwich for the customer in front of me who had hot bacon on his sandwich, the employee accidentally dumped it in the tomatoes and just laughed it off. I do not eat meat so this is an issue to have what the employee called the bacon flavored tomatoes . Then two of the employees decided to come out from behind the counter to clean but one ended up jumping up and sitting on the high counter near the sub station and loudly joked around with the other. Like I said I normally love coming here and the long time employee that was there was great to me. But man, not the best experience this time.

Always a great experience! (might be my happy, cheerful attitude) Great food, good price. Store is always clean and bright

No staff wore masks. I’ll not be eating here until that changes. You need to protect their customers from an infected employee.
