The Chowder House. - Fairbanks

We were here twice for lunch during our two day stay in Fairbanks. It’s a pleasant place, in a good neigbourhood. They serve all sorts of sandwiches you can compose yourself. Type of bread, toasted or not, half or whole, fillings, veggies, sauces. They also serve very good soups, quiches, but only soft drink. very much recommendable.

Chowder and sandwiches very simple, but super tasty. I went for the soup Of the day and crab sandwich which was divine. I did try crab meat before on a number of occasions, but it was just so so tasty the meat, the bread, the source. And they do have an amazing selection of cakes!

Excellent food plain and straightforward no surprises. We were looking for a good, simple, lunch that was affordable and the Chowder House delivered! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality meal in Fairbanks. My husband and son each had chowder and mini loaf which they said were excellent. I had a Chef Salad also very good.

Ordered via doordash right to my hotel. had clam chowder and a salad. salad was HUGE and fresh and good! chowder was very good and I am a chowder snob. by the time it got to me it was still steaming hot! i’d order the same items again

Food was very good but Pricey. Wasn't expecting a $73 dollar bill plus tip. But, it was excellent chowder
