I have gedimt many times here and that was the worst experience I ever had at cpk. bad, unattended service and worst case was the staff to clean the chairs on the tables and in preparation to close before closing time, and before we even got our bill. also with workers with loud talks about the restaurant, about which tables salt and pepper shakers needed. I felt every note that the personal was ready to close and go and they wanted us to go. they closed around 10 and the chairs on the table note began before 10 and as I mentioned before they even brought us ours.
My husband discovered cauliflower crusts CPK in Los Angeles, so we came to Fairfax Corner to try it. Too hard for me. I prefer the salads, especially the original BBQ Chicken w/ avocado. Hubby likes the Cobb. Bothe the half full sized salads are huge! Our waiter was great. Loved the call ahead option...called priority seating . Work on that cauliflower crust for the sake of low carb customers!
When I arrived at the restaurant, there were other patrons waiting to be seated. I was greeted by the host Alex, who informed me there was a waiting list. I showed him the confirmation email I had from Open Table and told him I should already be on the list. He stared at my phone in confusion, then replied, We don 't do that . I said well you must because I have it right here on my phone, to which he replied, No but I can add your name to the list and it will be about 15-30 minutes. I noticed I was placed at the bottom of the list. At this point I was quite shocked and annoyed. I asked to speak to another host or a manager, when another host arrived he said he was unsure of what happened but would work to get me a table as soon as possible. After about a 10 minute wait, we were seated. My husband and my son (who is 6) were with me. We were not brought a children 's menu so we asked the host for one who assured us he would be right back. He never came back. Our server then greeted us, we again asked for a children 's menu, and she returned with one after about 10 minutes. Our server Clare, was pleasant and helpful. She provided good service. The food came out quickly, my husband ordered a chicken Caesar salad and was disgusted to realize his chicken was not cooked all the way. He flagged down a manager who then apologized and promised to bring him a new one. By the time my husband received his entree, my son and I were done eating. When the bill arrived we had expected the salad would be discounted or in the least removed from the bill. It wasn 't. Long story short I was disappointed with my experience there, which saddens me as I am a Celiac sufferer and enjoy good gluten free pizza.
My experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. Despite receiving several confirmations from OpenTable, it appeared that the restaurant had no prior knowledge of our reservation. They claimed they didn't have enough staff available for our group. We booked our table two weeks in advance and even received a confirmation the day before. Overall, I was very let down and cannot recommend this restaurant.
We celebrated a special dinner today and received excellent service from Kendall. This has always been one of our favorite spots for a quick lunch with a large group. I especially love the Cauliflower Crust option for pizzas!
