Fats Fairfax

I’ve been visiting this place since it first opened and I can confidently say it offers excellent food, fantastic staff, and amazing live music. It's truly a landmark in Fairfax near GMU.

It was a good experience, but nothing particularly outstanding. The chicken and fried pickles were decent, and the drinks were excellent!

The setting is nice and cozy. The drinks were on the smaller side, but the french fries were seasoned well. My catfish was heavily breaded, which I didn't prefer; I like a lighter batter. However, my family really enjoyed the shrimp and spicy wings! I will definitely return to eat here again!

Not sure where to begin. Fats is totally dependent on what you are seeking. If you're looking for an unclean, college-student filled cesspool of excessive drinking and horrible open mic, then this is the place for you. If you're visiting Fairfax and looking for a decent place for beverages and decent food, look elsewhere. It's a fun place, but like I mentioned, don't come here if you're searching for a sophisticated outing.

Karaoke is enjoyable, and the drinks are great. It satisfies my basic entertainment desires.
