Brick Walk Tavern - Fairfield

Extremely disappointed by this culinary experience. I tend to give restaurants a lot of rope because you can have an off-night, but I cannot give them a pass on such faulty execution along with high prices and lack of Luster service. Things started okay. Solid drink menu and we enjoyed the wild mushroom caviar appetizer. I was thrilled to see Venison on the menu, but the order was a big mistake. Not only was there a huge vein of silver skin through my (maybe 3oz) meat cut, but the cocoa sauce tasted more like Hershey?s syrup. Everyone with an adult palate would never let this pass. Then my wife's seafood was boiled under Risotto, exaggerated by garlic and her lobstertail was unpalatable. There were also shells that had not opened, which is completely inevitable. This Entrees combines us?re $86. Come on! Maybe I could have brought these problems to someone's attention if someone had harassed us during the meal, but our server that was doubled as a bartender ran around like a maniac and overwhelmed (not his fault). On paper it seems like it's our avenue, but we won't be back.

Delicious food, balanced cocktails and impeccable service. A consistent 10/10. Chef David's creative appetizers and presented entrees are not to be missed. Make sure you have room for one of their homemade desserts!

I have often eaten with friends and family, and it is never disappointed. The service is welcoming and very professional, and the food is exquisite! It is obvious that the cook needs the time to explore different kitchens and has the passion and creativity to carefully handle a mix of taste and textures in a treat for the tongue. Winter at the fireplace with a glass of Prosecco and hot soup at the bar, to outdoor seats in spring for nibbles like the shrimp appetizer - a delicious stack menu item- try specialties of the day like lamb Koftas, who like traveling to a beautiful restaurant in Israel, without leaving Fairfield, make Brick Walk Tavern a wonderful culinary experience every year!

Fantastic service from start to finish. The food was cooked for perfection and the drinks were strong. It is a little expensive, but it is worth considering all things. A very pleasant time around.

Went for a special occasion, did not disappoint. Apps and Entrees were high quality. The decor is weird, but we would be back in a second with friends.
