Liana's - Fairfield

I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! The sauce was rich in flavor with a hint of basil, and the gnocchi was soft and silky—not mushy like I've had at some other places. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was! I got takeout on a Wednesday night, and it was ready in just 15-20 minutes. It also came with four small pieces of warm bread. At $24, it was a great value for a generous portion.

A fantastic reopening! The food here is just as incredible as it was before the temporary closure—it's like stepping into your Italian grandma's kitchen. I highly recommend it, a perfect 10/10!

We dined at Liana 's last night and had one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences of all time. We came in right after they opened for the evening (5:30) and took a seat at the bar. At the time, there was only one other group of diners inthe restaurant. We were handed menus fairly quickly by the one server working in the restaurant and then proceeded to order aglass of wine each. The bartender came over at one point and we ordered dinner. He didn 't write anything down, but I didn 'tthink too much of it at the time. We sat there with a glass of water each, our wine and a bread basket with three pieces ofbread until about 6:50 when I was finally able to make eye contact with the bartender (who had taken our order) and inquireabout the food we ordered. No one had checked on us up until that point. The wine was long gone, so was the water and thebread. When he went into the kitchen to check on our food, he came back and told us there was no record of our order. I toldhim we would just take the check for our wine and leave. He got our check and then didn 't come back to take our credit card. We had to borrow money from a lovely couple next to us in order to have enough cash to leave! We were so upset by the lack ofattention, the failure to submit our order to the kitchen, and then even having to pay for the wine we had after waiting an hourand a half for nothing. I don 't know how they can make this right, but they did not seem to want to do anything last night tohelp turn the experience around. It was so frustrating!

This charming little neighborhood restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can really taste the love they put into their cooking, as it reflects on every plate. Be sure to make a reservation so you don’t miss out! I consider it a must-visit for everyone in Fairfield.
