Wairau River Wines - Fairhall

My favourite winery from all I have visited in the Marlborough region. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff in both the bottle shop and restaurant. The smoked salmon salad was the best meal I have had during my New Zealand holiday.

On holiday from Christchurch. We had the burger and courgettes. We had half each. OMG both just gorgeous. Did a wine tasting and took 2 bottles away. Thank you for great NZ customer service and amazing food. We looking forward to the wine tonight xx

I've been visiting Wairau Rivers cellar door/restaurant since the mid 90s and I have never had a bad experience there! Beautiful setting, great wine, friendly staff, and a menu that offers plenty of choice, without being pretentious, and food of very high quality.

So we had my mother in-laws surprise 60th birthday at Waiau River Wines last weekend. The venue was awesome and the outdoor seating was great as it was a nice day. The food was also really good and everyone enjoyed it(the seafood chowder and chicken noodle salad were a hit). Lastly and most importantly, the staff were great and made for an awesome outing for me and my family. Would recommend Wairau River Wines to everyone
