Leda's Pizza - Fairlee

The restaurant is decent, but not outstanding. It has limited evening hours.

Drive through the east coast trying to find pizza that imitated chicago style was not hard to find on this place. the crust is thin, but not floppy like NY style. the cheese was delicious and the pizza was cooked well on request. my personal preference is that it needs more tomato sauce, but it did not stop being delicious. would definitely pass if I were close to Vermont.

We've consistently enjoyed delicious pizza and had a wonderful time dining here! I highly recommend it!

As we filled up the gas tank, we heard a rumble of thunder, and shortly after we entered Leda's Pizza to place our order, it started pouring—like, really heavy rain. The downpour lasted for about 45 minutes, and we had to dash to the car with our order, trying to avoid getting completely soaked. We arrived around 5:15 PM on a laid-back Saturday night in May 2022. Initially, we wanted to dine in, but it quickly became uncomfortable because the air conditioning was broken, and it felt humid inside. It definitely wasn't the best atmosphere for indulging in pizza, especially with a marathon on the agenda for the next morning. So, we opted for takeout while we waited for the rain to let up. As we waited, it was nice to listen to the locals chatting about their lives in the area. It was interesting to be a tourist far from home yet not feel a culture shock. I suppose I've traveled enough that I'm quite accustomed to new places at this point. The whole experience at Leda's took about 45 minutes, and my overall impression of the pizzeria was mixed yet relaxed. It was unfortunate about the air conditioning—not having that definitely impacted the experience. We ended up getting takeout and debated staying longer, but the heat in the restaurant swayed our decision. The woman at the front desk was friendly, and she appeared to be in high school, which was nice. The restaurant itself was quite small, but I believe it could seat around 30 people at maximum capacity. Having Leda's nearby was truly a find for my friend and me. We ordered a large pizza with all the toppings, along with two side orders of French fries. My friend also stopped by the dollar store for some drinks and snacks for our short stay in Vermont. As for the food, it was surprisingly good, especially for takeout. I enjoyed the French fries first because they were fresh and warm before we dove into the pizza once we got back to our hotel. If you find yourself in Fairlee, Vermont, or just passing through and in need of a good pizza, I definitely recommend this cozy pizzeria. It's pretty neat that it's located right across from the New Hampshire state line in the foothills of southeastern Vermont, specifically at 45 S US-5 in Fairlee. While it might not be easy to get to, if you're in the area and looking for good food, definitely stop by. It's the kind of comforting meal you crave, especially after a rainstorm that dampens everything but your spirit. They have a large parking lot for customers, which is great since there's no local public transportation in this part of southeastern Vermont. Renting a car or having your own is the best option. Greyhound and Amtrak can only take you so far, and while rideshare services like Uber and Lyft may be available, a car is definitely most suitable for this region. I truly enjoyed the laid-back vibe of the establishment—no frills, friendly service, and unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning was a downside. I hope they’ve managed to fix it since it was quite uncomfortable. I’d rate the overall experience at 4.0 stars, even with the air conditioning issue. The prices were reasonable for this rural area, so I’d give 4.0 stars for that as well. Finally, the service and food also rate a solid 4.0 stars. Remember to support local businesses!

Me, my mother and my brother ate there the other day and i heavenly enjoyed the pizza, onion rings and spaghetti with meatballs. hands down best restaurant ive been to. the waiter was patient and kind. 5/5 stars. i definitely recommend visting this restaurant
