Mccall's Park - Fairplay

I absolutely love the patio that overlooks the lake. The view is stunning, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. I could have easily taken a nap out there!

The restaurant features a lovely garden at the back with views of the lake, and the staff is friendly. However, I was disappointed with the food; the service was quite slow and the quality was mediocre. Nevertheless, I would consider returning for drinks and to enjoy the garden.

I waited over 40 minutes for a burger, which was the only item I ordered. The burger itself was good, but the long wait time was disappointing. If you're just looking to grab a drink, this is a great spot, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re planning to eat. Unless you have plenty of time to spare, you might want to consider going elsewhere for food. I noticed other diners also waiting over 30 minutes for their meals, so it wasn’t just me experiencing the delay.

The staff was friendly, and we really enjoyed both the burger and the French dip. It's great that they stay open late since we were working in Jefferson and had trouble finding nearby food after 9 PM. We were highly satisfied, and I must say, the fries were the best I've ever had! The seasoning was spot on, and the perfect balance of crispiness and softness made them just right. We'll definitely return when we're back in the area!
