L'officina Del Gusto - Falcone

We had a table booked one day for dinner but in the end did not use it as we wanted to seat in the terrace outside for the night view but there were no free tables outside. We have rebooked for next day as the restaurant was very much advised to us as the best for fish in the area. Well, not. The waitresses were unpleasant and slow contrary to the lady manager that was helpful. The cooked fish antipasti were excellent (and raw fish looked also very good) but secondi was a disappointment: two dishes of four in the menu were missing, fish of the day was a too big portion and largely overpriced (42€ for grilled 2 fishes with lemon), fish aeolian style was a simple swordfish steak in oily tomatoes sauce of no particular taste. A plus: kids had a good, simple pasta home made. We took no dolce but they were not sophisticated. In a summary: rather correct local cantina then fine restaurant. And in the end the terrace was not such a great idea the intensive lights give unbearable heat and no intimacy at all.

Piatti semplici ma eccellenti, personale cordiale e prezzi onesti. Se dovessimo tornare qui, torneremo sicuramente.
