Cha Lua Ngoc Hung - Falls Church

I was there twice in a day. I needed ice coffee and I went in because it was the first shop by the entrance. I was greeted warmly with smiles. Full disclosure, I am not Vietnamese and I live in San Francisco. I got there at 10:30 and it was packed!!!! So to get a loud and warm hello is so not expected. I vowed to go back in the evening because I am here for a week and have no desire to cook while I work all week. I went back in the PM although food option was not as plentiful but it was delicious still. The owner was still there from the morning. She recommended several dishes for me to try knowing I was clueless. She was accommodating, half fried rice and steamrice. Gave me the quail, chicken wings and bamboo shoot. So yummy and satisfying. Comfort food at its best. Before leaving she remembered I was there in the morning for ice coffee. She poured me a new one and send me on the road. I'll be back all week.

If you dont have time to cook vietnamese food, then stop by here take some togo food. their food is great and i highly recommended try their Ga chien nuoc man which is chicken wing with fish sauce. It is so great. they got variety of food you can eat with rice and soups. It you are vegan you still can come and check it out. they have tofu dish or vegan dish as well.

More a take out place than an actual restaurant. Name change to Saigon restaurant. The place a bit tight. The take home food here is great. I recommend the thit kho(braised pork and eggs), ca kho(caramelized catfish) and the fried whole fish. If you want a restaurant type dish then I recommend the bun bo hue(spicy beef noodle soup). Flavorful broth and not overly spicy. Many of these items can be eaten at home with rice. They consistently have veggie options and vegan options too. Wide variety of choices to choose from each day. The restaurant owner is very nice and delivers great service. During the pandemic, they are closed on Monday unless it's a holiday. They can go trays of food for you. Highly recommend.

Serving old and reheated food dishes from many days. Looking old and disgusting. This place has disgraced the great Vietnamese cuisines. Don't let those pictures FOOL you. They posted the pictures for marketing showings. You thought that you could have purchased a great dinner Togo selections but when you arrived, just wanted to puke.

Restaurant frequented by Vietnamese. Service and food were quick. The food is very good for a retail center.
