German Gourmet - Falls Church

Delicious! The made-to-order food was fresh and tasty. The grocery store offered a wide selection of items, including mustard, noodles, sauces, beer, wine, candy, and more. The meat counter was filled with tempting choices of sausages, lunch meats, and cheeses, all served by a friendly and efficient staff. After deciding what you want from the meat, deli, or bakery, you pull a numbered ticket. Each of us tried a different dessert, and they were all excellent. Right now, indoor dining isn't available. Parking was relatively easy, although it can get busy and fill up quickly.

I visited this place to try "the Deutscher" sub, and I was not let down! It’s a fantastic little German grocery and deli with a very authentic vibe. They offer a wide selection of German beers, wines, dry goods, and candies. The deli counter is impressive, featuring all kinds of German meats you could imagine! At just $8 including tax for a sandwich, it's a great deal. I encourage everyone to support these local, independent businesses; if we don’t, they might disappear for good!

I really enjoy this restaurant! I'll need to look for reasons to be in the area during lunchtime so I can try more items from the menu. I ordered the weisswurst and nuernberger sausages. I preferred the weisswurst, but both were delicious. They offer an impressive selection of 18 different sausages, along with sandwiches and desserts.

Quaint German Delicatessen with a wide variety of German products. I took my mom who was like a kid in a candy store. This place is cramped and it was very popular on a Saturday. Bring your patience for the deli counter as the line gets long. Apparently the tickets are for all the counters the deli, the cheese and the dessert counters. The staff is quick and helpful. They also have a selection of wines and beer. We will be going back as my mother will need her German food on the regular. : I enjoyed it as it brought back memories of my childhood with my German family and traveling to Deutschland.

This place is always awesome for our German fix. Whether it's German food, deli items, chocolate, bread, beer, toiletries, clothing, beer steins or knick knacks, there's something for everyone. We come here often enough to have sandwich cards for stamping and buy other essentials as well, if you can call beer, cold cuts and chocolate necessities. We would go broke if we came here as much as we liked.
