Old Smith Farm - Falmouth

Delicious food and fantastic music! I highly recommend this place. I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere as 5 out of 5.

The barn is a delightful indoor venue featuring a charming little deck and a spacious backyard complete with picnic tables and fire pits. They offer an intriguing cocktail menu; however, the overall opinion at our table was that most of the drinks were overly sweet. The starters, including egg rolls, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts, were all fantastic. We also enjoyed the fish and chips, and while the burgers were cooked well, the bacon was just okay and the dish could have benefited from some sauce. The kale Caesar salad was flavorful but very tough and lacked the satisfying crunch of croutons that you expect in a Caesar. The lemon linguini had a bright citrus flavor but was quite watery and lacked depth otherwise. Overall, this is a great venue with friendly staff, but the quality and, in some cases, the portion sizes of the food and drinks don't quite justify the surprisingly high prices. Despite this feedback, I would still recommend visiting, especially on a nice evening when you can take advantage of the lovely outdoor space, even if you might experience a bit of sticker shock. We were seated next to a large table where the staff was busy preparing silverware and engaged in conversation with the on-duty manager. After placing our drink orders and enjoying some delicious appetizers, we tried to ignore the chatter to our right, which included topics like senior pranks, tips, and Prozac. We were grateful for the server nearby who provided us with silverware and napkins. However, our young waitress seemed to forget about us after that. We didn't see her again until our entrees arrived, at which point my husband requested a refill. We then waited another 30 minutes before she came back to check on us. Near closing time, she informed us that if we wanted dessert, we needed to decide soon as the kitchen was about to close. I responded that we just needed the check, although I was really just thirsty and ready to head home. Instead of bringing our check, she then proceeded to clean tables and continue chatting with other guests. While the food was beautifully presented, I found it disappointing to overhear the manager speaking negatively about another customer during our meal, especially while paying $35 for my entrée. It would have been nice not to have such distractions or to feel like we were being a bother to our server.

Cool venue, rustic old barn with lots of charm. Ducks, chickens, and goats run free in the outdoor seating area. The vibe is a little confusing. Menu items of risotto, bruschetta, and carbonara have a real fine dining theme. However, many menu items are served on paper and plastic flatware. The wait staff is very young and inexperienced. Unfamiliar with the menu. Appetizers and entrées came out at the same time. One of the mixed drink specials we ordered was absolutely disgusting, which makes sense considering the bar tender looked barely old enough to drink. All in all, the atmosphere was great, the food was good, the service was just ok. The wood-fired pizza is a side business located outside the restaurant. The pizza is very good.

This place was wonderful. Everything a man could want on a night out with his wife. The Brussels were to die for and the egg rolls were just scrumptious. How is this not the top restaurant on everyone’s list. The view is wonderful and the animals there are just as fun and charming as the staff. Josh has to be the most professional and fun waiter I have had the pleasure of interacting with. Great recommendations from him. I had a hurricane margarita it has the perfect amount of spice and sweetness. My wife had the fried haddock as did I. Amazing night one I won’t forget for a long time. Will be back soon.
