I had a mushy Luke warm pizza for $30. I asked and offered to pay for extra artichokes if they crisped them up in the oven but they gave me like warm mushy not crispy artichokes. I had a pizza here once that was amazing. I’ve come back twice with lackluster results. I will never come back. They had one home run and two massive fails that were expensive to pay for. Portland Pie needs to work on consistency from cook to cook so that I can get a good pizza every time Update… I asked the waitress to give me a bill. Apparently she told the manager that I was upset. He sat down next to me and AGGRESSIVELY said, “I heard you wanted to talk to me” I signed my bill with a 1000% tip (no exaggeration) I left the disgusting pizza and walked out.
We had reservations for 4 last evening. We were promptly seated. Wasn 't crowded at all but from the moment she arrived our waitress hurried us through. She kept returning to the table to ask if we were ready to order. We were meeting friends so there some initial small talk. We ordered an appetizer and then between us we ordered 2 10 pies a calzones and 2 entree sized salads. The waitress brought everything at the same time..there were too many plates for the table and it was impossible to get to the appetizer so it pretty much went uneaten. I was really annoyed that the food was all brought together creating an uncomfortable dining experience. As for the food, the cheese pizza was exceedingly greasy ; the caesar salad greens were wilted. The other pizza and an entree sized garden salad were fine. Throughout the entire meal the waitress kept returning to hurry us along. When I complained about the overcrowded table and the appetizer she just mumbled about the kitchen being fast with orders. I suggested in the future that she put in the appetizer order first so people could enjoy it BEFORE the main courses arrived. This is the 1st time I have felt the need to complain about our experience at Falmouth Portland Pie. I 'm hoping that the young lady in question was new and nervous and that this is a very rare occurrence at Portland Pie.
Your draught beer lines need to be cleaned and are not safe for public consumption. Multiple occasions this winter (2023 24) I have ordered a domestic light beer off the tap and the taste is decidedly sour and the beer is cloudy. Your bartenders are very attentive and friendly but they should know better than to be serving this beer. In fact Marilyn confessed when I sent the beer back that she has had multiple complaints about it. Please, I like going there have a pro change out the lines.
Portland Pie killing it with the pizza per usual and they don't skimp on the cheese; look at these breadsticks hold my fries this was good. The Nor' Easter is must try for anyone who likes the combination of blue cheese and Buffalo wings....like, you have to. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pies are great Parking: Big parking lot Kid-friendliness: Kid options, great big restaurant with friendly atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, careful during the winter hours I saw ice on the sidewalk to the restaurant.
You would have a hard time to have a bad meal here. Great food!
