We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday. Rented the entire restaurant from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am and received excellent service throughout the evening and also during the entire planning period! We had a three-course dinner, good wine, tasty cocktails, and lots of dancing! A huge thank you again to everyone at Chapeau D'or! :D

Very friendly staff and a decent place. I had the beef plank (279 SEK), which was okay. I don't often eat dinner out in Falun and don't really know the price ranges in the city, but I think they are about a hundred SEK higher than what my beef plank was actually worth (and what it would have cost in, for example, Stockholm).

Absolutely fantastic! Affordable, 189 SEK for a large piece of Swedish entrecote with potato gratin and incredibly delicious olive bearnaise. This is good stuff. Finished with a creme caramel that was also absolutely fantastic. Tonight was the first time I have eaten out in Falun without feeling ripped off when the bill came. I am so happy that I have finally found a great place in town. I will definitely return here and recommend this place to everyone I know.
