Decided to dine here the following night and ordered, sweet and sour pork ribs, Mongolian beef and cashew chicken. Again all dishes were served fresh and the flavours were wholesome. One of the best Asian restaurants in Darwin!
Update: I gave Ruby another chance because a family member couldn't stop raving about the pho! So on another visit, the pho was indeed a lot better and I may have just gone on a bad day. The lemongrass chicken skewers and the spring rolls were also top so overall, a good experience this time round!<br/ .<br/ .<br/ .<br/ When I ordered this back in December last year, I really didn't understand why or what people were raving about. If I'm being very straight up and honest, I've tasted better pho elsewhere (e.g. Non La on Knuckey St). The pho here was delivered to the table lukewarm, and the basil didn't seem to have a very aromatic scent which was quite disappointing. I guess it was reasonably priced though $15 for the pho, and $9 for x6 spring rolls (which were pretty standard). The food was good, but not great.
Great Food. We had the whole fish, paw paw salad and stir fried vegs and rice which were delicious. Service was a bit slow, we felt forgotten but the food and the venue were good.
Best massaman curry in Darwin. We went to ruby for dinner on a Sunday night, the service was great, and the food was amazing. Better dining experience than hanumans in my opinion. Looking forward to my next dinner there.
Overall great food and service. Attentive service right from seating through to payment. Pandan chicken for entree was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce was delightful. Beef salad and tofu stir fry both light and full of flavour. Very reasonable price.
