For the first time today, I'm a local. The general Tso Chicken was absolutely the best I ever had in NYC. The quality of the meat, the sauce was seasoned and the portion size was excellent. Not so good was the vegetable fried rice, the spring rolls and the vegetables lo mine. They were dry, tasty and so. Overall, I expected a bit more than a typical Chinese/Asia restaurant, the ambience of the restaurant is really nice and the reviews are generally great. I found the other dishes than the chicken to sub par.
We celebrated the birthdays of some family members. We had a great time and a great service. There was a lot of food and it tasted great. Only two people were not satisfied with their food. I ordered the same thing they had and I had no complaints. I had the Hibachi chicken and shrimp with the noodles. I had so much fun interacting with my family I really didn't get to eat all my food. That was what I took home and warned. Smells just as good as cooking.
The staff did not speak well English and misunderstood everything I wanted. My waitress/water forgot what's on the menu and always said they didn't do and wait 20 minutes for my rice. Then I gave more lies about what they have or do....Example I saw ice cream, but when they ask, they give it to who they chose. Good food, very bad service... I went back.... it was much better... only problem was the shrimp of fried rice not tasted as good as last time, there was missing something and several customers agree that it tasted differently. The ice cream was delicious.
