This is the ultimate spot for a delicious steak! My friend ordered the chicken and found it to be wonderfully spicy and flavorful. They also offer pasta options. After relocating from Chicago, I struggled to find a great steak restaurant until I discovered this gem. The rustic cabin decor is charming, and the waitstaff are exceptional. Unfortunately, we were just in the mood for a simple sandwich, although the two-page special menu was tempting. I took a chance on the hand-baked tenderloin, which I had never seen before, while my wife opted for the cheeseburger and a side salad. Our little girl was satisfied with her meal, and my wife declared her cheeseburger excellent, noting that it came on a large bun. In fact, she said the only better burger she'd had was a Nutty Buddy burger in Keokuk, IA. The food was good, and the service was even better. We found ourselves wondering where to find friends like the staff at Scapechi. Our server, Tina, was fantastic—she kept our tea glasses full and checked in on us just the right number of times. It was clear that everyone we interacted with had a great approach to customer service. We make this drive about half a dozen times a year, usually around dinnertime. Simply put, we will definitely be returning to Scapechi's Evening Meal Club.
