Catbird Rooftop Terrace - Farmville

As unexpected as it is to find a rooftop bar in Farmville, I was pleasantly surprised by the impressive menu and excellent selection of upscale dishes. I’ll admit I can’t quite pronounce everything on the sweet corn, sausage, and other toppings pizza that we ordered, but it was delicious. The staff was friendly, and the drinks were enjoyable. The wings were amazing, and I’ll confess I nearly snapped at someone who tried to take mine away! It might not have been the most appropriate behavior for a “rooftop terrace bar,” but thankfully they seemed to understand and didn’t ask us to leave (or maybe they just didn’t notice). Prices are a bit on the higher side, so make sure to have your wallet ready. But believe me, once you try the seasonal drink, you’ll be ready to make any promise just to have another!

A lovely surprise just in time for sunset! I didn't try any food, but I enjoyed a delicious Irish Whiskey Cherry Soda cocktail. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any merlot available. However, the bartender provided fantastic local recommendations.

Catbird Rooftop Terrace reopened yesterday afternoon, and I was thrilled to visit and enjoy the stunning views of downtown Farmville from there. After a short walk up High Street from my nearby office at Piedmont Real Estate, I entered Hotel Weyanoke and immediately took the elevator next to the front desk, pressing the button for the fifth floor. Upon stepping off the elevator, I was pleased to discover that the top floor houses the terrace, complete with a hotel restaurant and breathtaking views of the downtown area and its surroundings. The tables on the rooftop terrace were well-spaced for social distancing, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The terrace has a spacious atmosphere that is sure to make it a popular spot for socializing as we continue to emerge from the pandemic!

Fantastic spot! I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it if you’re nearby.
