Camillos - Faro

The main attraction for me was the ultra friendly proprietor, Camillo, who not only prepares the most delicious meals we had the most succulent veal steak but often comes for a chat. This is a delightful small restaurant but not easy to find as it is invisible from the main road from Vale do Lobo to Almancil. However it is well worth discovering. It has become a regular haunt for us.

Don't be put off by the understated decor, Camillos serves wonderful Italian food with superb service from Camillos and his team. I had fresh pasta, great seafood and the best spare ribs I've ever tasted. The bill for 4 of us with wine etc was less than 70 euros.

Always a great atmosphere at Camillos and very good value.Two of a party of 4 chose tagliatelle al gorgonzola as amain course and both agreed that there was no hint of gorgonzola in the dish.The other 2 both received what they ordered and we all had a good time and enjoyed everything else we had to eat and drink.
