O Visconde - Faro

Ótimo lugar e ótima comida ! Pessoal disponível e simpático. O ambiente é fantástico : antigo palacete com o sue jardim à francesa. Já tinha visitado o parque há três anos. A cataplana é muito boa.

We enjoyed an awesome day at Faro 's countryside, visiting Palácio de Estói and the nearby Ruínas de Milreu . For lunch, we chose O Visconde , the restaurant at Palácio de Estói (which houses a small luxury hotel). No complaints at all and, as it was off-season, we were probably the only clients for lunch at that day. Drinks on the terrace and meals inside the main building. Clean decor (very practical and casual, but not matching with the palace 's French fancy furniture), nice food, friendly service and affordable prices. Bon Appétit!

The service is attentive and the wine list and menu well selected. Though it is not an extensive carte most everyone will find something to please here.

Mc Donalds or O Visconde? I ordered steak, asked for salt and got a paper bag. In a luxury hotel!!! 1h wait, no steak knife, effortless side dishes, no sauce... the salt was too much in the end. To be honest it is hard to find something positive in general. The wine was great and the ambiente as well. Everything else was 1/5.
