Scandic Fauske

Pleasant enough for an overnight stay. a bit faded and the city is over, it is sold after the date.

Old hotel, a little wear and drink. the room was quite spacious for the price, 1192kr per night. the beds were in order, and the sitting area of the sofa was sufficient. the bathroom was small, a bit cramped, and the sink was placed at an angle low and was quite large. the bathroom also had a lack of hot water and very poor water pressure. there was also a lack of isolation, so they could hear when others shower in other nearby rooms or similar. the reception became a little strange at the other side where the main entrance was. the coffee in the lobby was cheap. good bores were not used to be safe. the breakfast lacked the selection and overall quality. one, if not most missing breakfast offers I have seen in the last two weeks among the different hotels. a decent place to stop when they have to, but not expect too much in any wise.

Great showers! thin walls so that they hear the neighboring, traveling road outside the window, traffic until 23:00, no place to their toothbrush or accessories in the bathroom, kitchen is 7 weeks in the building, so we have no breakfast, only the same baguette every morning. the rest of the hotels in the city are full, so this is an okey choice if they have no other options.

It seems to be a sign of scanning hotels to not spend a cent for the maintenance. as other scand hotels, it does not seem to be updated since the early nineties. there is no air conditioning so that they have to keep the window open and with the window open, they cannot sleep because the thousand möwen are out like crazy. the wifi is extremely slow. Hopefully they won't get galvanized while they can see the bath as they can in the pictures. Parking can also be tricky as there are few parking spaces to the hotel. we had luck finding the only left.

Fauske Hotel. We stayed there on our way to Lofoten and Nordkapp. The hotel is okay for one night, but it was worn down and in need of renovation. We also experienced some noise from cars, mopeds etc., but is in the city center so we have to expect some noise I guess. The mattresses were very poor, so one night was enough. The room was also very hot in the evening and night, and there was no air conditioning. Date of stay: August 2015
