Theres also complementary miso soup and assorted side dishes (ex. kimchi, potatoes, little savory pancakes) for most menu items. The counter girl seems a bit unfriendly but I would be too if I had to ask every person staring mouth agape at all the options if they'd prefer to sit down with a menu, ha!
I definitely need to visit KJ more often. The food is outstanding, and I’m eager to try everything on their menu. While the extensive options can be a bit overwhelming, I’ve never had a disappointing meal there. The Bulgogi is fantastic, and their sushi is quite tasty as well. The owners are usually present and are always warm and welcoming; they genuinely seem happy to see us. It’s a refreshing change from many non-local restaurants.
We 've visited here twice. The food was excellent and you get a lot of it. I ordered the beef bulgogi (Korean BBQ both times. I would describe it like a Korean version of fajita. The meat is served on a sizzling platter with onion, cabbage, slivered carrots, and sliced mushrooms. The marinade for the beef is slightly sweet and not spicy my favorite of all of them. My son had the chicken fried rice, and my husband tried the spicy pork the first time (not our favorite and the short ribs the second (much better! . The entrees came with a bowl of rice, a bowl of miso soup, and 6 'side dishes ' of which they will refill if desired. The side dishes included kimchee, potatoes, pickled radish (I 'm thinking daikon radish because it 's in long thin strips also this was my favorite one , savory pancake with soy sauce (another really good one , broccoli, and cucumbers. We enjoyed all of those. The menu is extensive and there are photos for some of the items. While it is a little pricy, we leave satisfied and full. The restaurant appears very clean and the staff were helpful.
This is a fantastic Korean restaurant located right on College Avenue. The portions are generous, and the food is incredibly fresh. Each meal comes with a variety of unique and delicious side dishes, with the kimchi being a standout. While some of the sushi rolls are pre-made rather than made-to-order, they still taste quite fresh overall. In my view, KJ Sushi isn’t primarily a sushi spot but a great destination for Korean cuisine. There are better sushi options in Fayetteville, like Meiji, but if you’re looking for the best Korean food in town, this is it. If you’ve never had authentic Korean food before, this is your chance. I'll definitely be returning for more!
Amazing food and excellent service. Will definitely good back often.
