Angelica's Lounge - Federal Way

I really wanted to give them 4 stars but... Getting food poisoning from the chicken will always land a restaurant on 1 star. Our first visit last week was fine. My kids ordered a quesadilla and burrito from the kids menus while I had the 2 entree combination, a tamale and enchilada. All was well, we even had a dessert to leave full and happy. This last visit honestly felt about the same, we ordered a steak quesadilla and chicken verde enchilada, which left us full and happy again... until hours later when the food poisoning from the chicken kicked in. I hate giving bad reviews, so what I would say is, it seems like everything else was good, just be weary of the chicken. Service: The service was fine. Both visits, the servers were very helpful and made sure to check on us periodically. Atmosphere: The design is set up to enhance the bar experience, so the lighting was dim, and the TVs were all playing various sports channels. The booths were comfortable and the tables were clean and neat. Food: I wish that I could give them another chance, but after my experience (see above) I don't foresee myself returning anytime soon.

I have been here twice since this restaurant was suggested to me. I've tried the combination plate with a burrito which was very good and I really loved the Mexican Pizza. The food my family had also looked good and they really enjoyed it. The restaurant has very good service, they're friendly, and it's clean with a family atmosphere. I will go back again!

Our first time there since 2020! We sat in the bar where the TV's are distracting, next time we'll sit on the other side.

Been coming here for years. I do my best to support small businesses in my community as often as I can. Food is always consistent and good. They have been improving their service over the years. We usually sit in the bar. Some nights they have karaoke. Taco Tuesday is good! Drinks are good also. I’ll continue to visit this establishment.

I had the opportunity to work for Angelica and her family for a short time, and I can say that they are a dedicated, hardworking family that truly appreciates those who put in the effort. They have a genuine, down-to-earth attitude, and of course, the food is unmatched in Washington state. This is the best Mexican restaurant around, and you won't be disappointed.
