The family dinner was held at a cozy restaurant located in the heart of Federal Way. The ambiance was okay but fairly comfortable. The menu was extensive, and we were spoilt for choice with a wide range of delicious dishes to choose from. We decided to order the grilled dinner, which was the highlight of the meal. The meat was succulent and perfectly fun to cook. Many sides accompanied the meal, including kimchi, fermented Daikon, and many more dishes.Although the service was a bit slow, the staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable.Overall, the evening was a wonderful celebration of family, good food, and happy memories. And, for $350 for seven people, it was a great value for the quality of food and service that we received.
The cold spicy noodle photo is what drew me here. Restaurant wasn't packed but had a decent amount of folks. Service is okay, very to the point, not a bad thing. Food takes awhile to come out, so if you're hungry...you'll be hungry for awhile. Ordered the Korean sausage soup, it was okay, not my thing. The seafood pancake, delicious, crispy, totally my jam. Cold spicy noodles with raw fish, it was okay. I don't know what I was expecting but the fish had some bones, the sauce was spicy but a little too fermenty for me. The side dishes weren't bad but also found the pickled items too pickled. Overall, not a bad experience but not sure I would make the trek to Fed for this spot alone.
First the bad. This place is definitely not much to look at either from the outside or the inside. The restaurant is in the bowels of an older strip mall complex and there is scarcely a window in the place. It has low ceilings and not an upscale vibe at all. Parking can also be dicey its a commercial strip mall that features lots of Korean businesses and things can get busy. There is a overflow lot in the very very back that some people don't know about. Also, these people are not killings themselves to please you the food will get there when it gets there. If you have a Korean with you, you may have the best luck with customer service. Now for the good: the food is consistently outstanding. Korean food is difficult to do well, and I have never struck out at this place. The meat is always tender and well marinated, and the soups are always well balanced with their flavoring. The banchan is plentiful and excellent my fav is the radish Kimchee. I eat a lot of Korean food, and this is one my favorites. It's not cheap, but neither is Korean food in general. If you want the full experience, I recommend sitting at a booth with the fumehood for cooking meat. This place has a following among Korean food enthusiasts.
This is my second time coming here, and this is my GF's time. One of my favorite things about this lil area is all the different food spots and korean culture. The good was amazing and service was good.My girlfriend got army soup and i got hot stone Kim bop and some steamed dumplings. Wow! I forgot how good the food was, even the side dishes ?. We definitely like this restaurant and plan on trying the other spots that are next to this restaurant!
