Feedback gevenI recently tried a chicken tikka kebab at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavor was delicious and the cooking was perfect. The fresh salad served on the side was crisp and light, making for a wonderful meal. I will definitely return soon.
I have a food allergy to onions, so I specifically ordered the kebab without onions. However, when my order arrived, I found some onions in my kebab. I called the restaurant and they agreed to remake the kebab, but insisted that I send back the old one before they would deliver a new one. I complied with their request. However, after I sent it back, the owner called me and angrily stated that there were only 'just 2 onions' in the kebab. There was no apology given. I explained that I have a severe allergy to onions, but he continued to dismiss my concerns. It is concerning to see someone in the food industry who does not take food allergies seriously and lacks basic manners. They should educate themselves about allergies and show more consideration towards their customers.
This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. The food arrived an hour late, cold, and soggy. The meats were burnt and the chicken was tough. The kofte was chopped up and inedible. The lamb doner resembled road kill. I felt sick and vomited shortly after eating. When I called to complain, I received terrible customer service with no apologies or offer of a refund. The staff were speaking in their own language and laughing while I was on hold. I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.
The Kebabs where tasting amazing. I loved it! Especially the chilli sauce was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back and take my friends with me:
So. I work in a customer facing environment and I know customer service is king. Ordered a meal for my family tonight and food was delivered late first of all. The meal was pre paid online. On receipt there was food missing so I called to see how quickly could be delivered. Wow! I didn't realise that it wasn't important that food I had paid for was missing and I didn't realise that how long I had to then wait was important either! Remember the food was already late! What I then experienced from the manager was nothing short of shocking. Apparently these things happen when you pay for a service but the manager of Istanbul Wisbech believes that when this happens he shouldn't need to sort it in a timely manner. To be shouted at for challenging service and told to never order from him again is beyond comprehension. As it stands I have ordered goods from Istanbul Wisbech that I have paid for but not had delivered and then told never to order again. Good job I have recorded the conversation! Still waiting for the refund on goods paid for but not delivered Istanbul Wisbech? PS Couldn't give 0 or negative stars.
