I go to this Starbucks a few times a week. Friendliness is hit or miss, but hey, we all have bad days. I've only had 2 drinks that were not what I ordered and they always fix it for me.
I used to be a barista and I'm incredibly picky, went here today to get a latte with the blonde espresso cause the other Starbucks didn't have any, and holy moly I'm glad I did. The barista suggested a drink (which is always my favorite thing) with the Chestnut praline and the toasted marshmellow that ended up being so fricken good I'll probably only go to this Starbucks. Love it
I’m giving this Starbucks 4 stars because I love my Iced Chais! However, a line of just 5 cars made me wait for 20 minutes, which is pretty typical for the Owen Rd location. The wait time was frustratingly long. I noticed a woman three cars ahead of me who seemed to be having a very slow interaction with the barista at the drive-thru. By the time it was my turn, I realized the employees seemed overwhelmed. I had four gift cards from the GB Starbucks due to previous mistakes (which they handled quickly and efficiently!). Unfortunately, one of my cards was empty. Ugh! I explained the situation to the barista, who offered to look into it for me. Long story short, she struggled to figure it out and ended up holding two of my gift cards but wasn’t able to provide a solution. Instead of just processing one card quickly, there was unnecessary back and forth. When I mentioned the delay, she casually said she didn’t mind making the cards because she wasn’t in a hurry. Great… but I just wish it hadn't taken so long!
I absolutely adore everyone here! They are such kind individuals, and even when I order complicated drinks, they remain pleasant and never come across as curt or rude. Please remember to leave a tip; these times have been especially tough for essential workers during COVID, and I’m sure they don’t always receive the friendliest treatment from customers.
