This bakery is a hidden gem of the inner west. The croissants and macaroons are the best I’ve had outside France, the tarts, pastries and sausage rolls are all delicious, but my favourite is their sourdough garlic and rosemary bread I seriously can’t get enough of this bread! Run by a really friendly and humble family.
In a rush so randomly dropped in to grab something small for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of their artisan sausage and apple roll. Not your average sausage roll unique filling and could do without tomato sauce (crazy, I know! . Coffee was also a delight definitely a good start to what was going to be a busy day.
I get ham&cheese baguettes regularly so, so yummy, also choc gnash tart are great and the choc eclair has the best choux pastry I've had in over 15 years, highly recommend salted caramel and choc tart, all crossionts are super yummy, from the almond to choc crossiont, can t go wrong. Decent coffee as well. I can't wait to try all the other yummy looking pastries and treats, highly recommended. Friendly staff, cute store, reasonable prices (I don't know where any one can pick up a baguette with fresh ingredients for $1, you can't even buy Swiss cheese at supermarket for $1)(someone else's review for Petersham shop, claims baguettes can be bought at supermarket for $1, bullcrap, she must shop at Aldi).
Ahmazing!!! Wow,wow, wow I needed some croissants to take to a morning training session. As soon as I saw Pepe Saya through the glass, I knew these would be delicious. The flavour has a really nice cultured/ sourdough flavour. They definitely didn’t disappoint. I’ll most certainly be back to work my way through the rest of the amazing food on offer.
