On the coldest of rainy evenings I put away the noodles and the tasty honey pepper BBQ ribs, well matched combination plus reasonable prices and good staff service, 99 problems x
Enjoyed it. Generous portions, quite filling and tasty. These soups come in huge clay pots with toppings of choice I.e sliced beef, egg, fish cakes etc and they then add a bowl of noodles to the soup. Could also easily be shared and ask for a top up of noodles. They have several small side dishes as well. Easy winter weeknight dinner.
The sliced beef noodle soup looked really tempting the moment it was brought to our table. The noodles were flavoursome, without the “soapy” flavour that plagues some restaurants. The term “sliced beef” was a bit of a misnomer though; although there was plenty of beef within, some of it was also innards, including kidney and intestine, which may turn some people off. Nonetheless, it was deliciously cooked, with the addition of Chinese cabbage and coriander. When you drink the soup, you will also get an interesting zing of flavour: the generous slice of lemon that was added to the soup, slowly releasing its sour flavour within. It’s a really interesting flavour in a really good way! The soup didn’t taste overpowering because of the acidity, which made for easy drinking.
Been there five times, sometimes take away, sometimes dining. The service was good. Different types of rice noodles can satisfy all your needs for the day. Recommend!
Classic Cheap Eats. Absolutely nothing fancy or remotely redeeming about the decor or service but the menu is extensive, the pricing super inexpensive, the portions large and the flavours substantial. Expect nothing more than a good feed.
