Went here because I crave for pasta and turned out found a good side menu like the mushroom and pumpkin purè.<br/ <br/ Only, I didnt really like the floor staff some seems to try to make us uncomfortable because it nearly the kitchen close time. Anyway, still a lot of people in the restaurant though.
I haven't had Italian out in a while and Isaac did not disappoint. <br/ It looks like its a quite new restaurant with minimal reviews/photos so I didn't really know what to expect. Firstly, the layout of the restaurant was really nicely set out, very modernised and sleek with great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, could be a little more attentive. Menu, not huge but it had enough variety! <br/ <br/ We got 3 entrees, 3 mains and a side and were completed stuffed! The white fish ceviche which was nice and fresh, I would've liked a little more zest/limey taste and a little more fish incorporated into it. You can't go wrong with the calamari fritti and homemade garlic aioli, lightly pattered and the calamari were cooked just right. Three cheese arancini dipped in the subtle blue cheese sauce was SOOOO yum! I couldn't get enough of the blue cheese sauce and I'm not normally a fan of blue cheese. The sweet potato side was also really tasty with different elements of freshness, crunch, creaminess. Out of the three pastas: Vongole (clams), lamb ragu and Bucatini all’ Amatriciana .. I think my favourite were the lamb ragu and the Bucatini all’ Amatriciana. The lamb ragu was super flavoursome but not too much and the Bucatini all’ Amatriciana, not sure what's in it but it was soooo smokey and delicious I had to go back for more! The servings of the pasta look small but the plates are quite deep so they're actually really generous with the portions! <br/ <br/ I was really impressed, decently priced and I would definitely come back again. <br/
Isaac has taken breakfast and dinner in Redfern to new heights. An interesting and often changing menu, everything is cooked and presented to perfection. Add that to a beautiful setting and outstanding service and your breakfast or dinner experience just doesn’t get any better. This place has become a regular for us. Highly recommended!
Loved the atmosphere and the food was amazing! We had the grilled octopus and prawn spaghetti...yum. They have a great drink menu and the service is good.
A birthday lunch for a friend. Starts with Buffalo Haloumi with honeycomb. An interesting combination, very sweet, complemented the haloumi well. Mains were a polenta coated chicken with lemon coleslaw. Had a taste and it was great. I had Hanger steak with mushrooms. Very tasty. Big serves, great service, decor relaxed, stylish. Will be back.
