Tucked away from the busy shops, this cafe offers a quieter environment for coffee and food. <br/ <br/ Although the options on the menu is basic and simple, they did do their food with care. The burger patty is juicy, so is the chicken in the club sandwich. My salad wrap is fresh and intact. Shoestring fries are my favourite. <br/ <br/ We left the place feeling satisfied :
Mr is a nice cafe that's popular with the locals. I wasn't a fan of the Will Co coffee but that might be a personal preference. However, the food was excellent. The breaky bowl is one of my fave in Sydney: quinoa, spinach, avocado, cherry tomatoes, sauerkraut and a poached egg drizzled with tahini dressing. Though the poached egg I requested was overcooked (no yolk porn), every other component was well seasoned and the flavour combination was fantastic. A healthy and satisfying meal. My friends also enjoyed their dishes. Special mention goes to the Mr Big their version of the big breakfast. This was a massive platter of hashbrowns, halloumi, bacon, grilled tomatoes, eggs, toast, avocado, mushrooms.. phew. This is sure to fill even the hungriest tummy up.Service was warm and friendly. The server have our friend's toddler some complimentary marshmallows. Little things like these make Mr café stand out from the crowded breakfast scene.
Along the main street and on the more quiet side of Balmain, you will find this little gem! I loved the decor and vibe they have going on, and how they have a no-judgement attitude for any of you who fancy a sunday martini with brunch . They have a vast array of options for brunch and breakfast with their ‘Mr. All Day’ section on the menu. My eyes were instantly drawn to their ‘Apple Crumble Buckwheat Pancakes’! Of course I had to have them, and let me tell you they were incredible. I enjoyed the pancakes themselves feeling very healthy and fluffy, topped with caramelized apples, an anzac crumble, caramel sauce vanilla ice-cream. A dish I would recommend trying if you love apple crumble, all the flavours were there without being an overly sweet dish, the perfect balance!<br/ Check out the other dishes i tried on my full blog, link below!
Mr Cafe Bar is a delightful little joint on Darling Street bordering on Balmain and Rozelle. Already popular with the locals this cafe has a clean fresh fit out and family friendly vibe. The menu has something to please everyone as well as some original options such as the sardines on toast and buckwheat pancakes. I went for the honey coconut granola which was beautifully presented and extremely filling. <br/ <br/ You could be forgiven for mistaking the name of this cafe for Will Co which is the brand of coffee being pumped out for takeaways and dine in. It’s a great spot to stop in for a coffee and treat yourself to something in the front counter such as a brownie or two! All in all this cafe is yet another great addition to the Balmain eating scene<br/
Visited during a bright lit day, it was a refreshing start. With plentiful street parking, Mr. Cafe is located comfortably in a quiet suburb, with ample open indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly, prompt and I can say the same thing when the food came out. Coffee was strong but beautifully roasted... <br/ <br/ P: purplecuriosity.com/2017/10/28/mr-cafe/
